Ahmed and the Butte aux Cailles

Ahmed, a photography enthusiast, has always wanted to live in Butte Aux Cailles, and I'm discovering it with him. He arranges to meet me at Place d'Italie, in the 13th arrondissement, where he eagerly awaits me. As I wander through the streets, Ahmed shows me his favorite spots in the neighborhood, shows me the Miss Tic graffiti he particularly likes, stops to greet and chat with the patients, and occasionally points out, with his fingertips, the scenes he'd like me to photograph. Ahmed loves capturing the street, the people, and the spaces between them with his phone: "You can do anything with it, it's better than a camera," he constantly exclaims.
