The Fourteenth

In Paris's 14th arrondissement, I've initiated a project focusing on the phenomenon of roots: how residents—whether transient or settled for generations—build their sense of roots, memory, and identity.
This neighborhood, historically working-class and popular, both affected by urban change and preserved in some of its community forms, offers me a rich terrain for examining contemporary forms of belonging: to a street, to a history, to a culture.
As in my other projects, I explore the place of objects, gestures, and lived spaces in the invisible transmission of intangible heritage.
